Safety comes before completing the project.
When a project involves structural, electrical, gas, fuel, refrigerant, braking, restraint, pressurized, stored-energy, hazardous-material, permitting, or other high-consequence work, use authoritative information and an appropriately qualified professional when required.
1. What HomeVerity provides
HomeVerity provides DIY project planning, educational guidance, calculations, checklists, project organization, and links to outside information. It is not a licensed contractor, engineer, electrician, mechanic, building official, attorney, emergency service, or other professional service provider.
2. Your responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether a project is appropriate for you, your property, vehicle, equipment, tools, skills, and local rules. Verify model-specific specifications, permits, codes, manufacturer instructions, hazards, utilities, load limits, PPE, and other safety-critical facts before acting.
3. Safety-critical information
HomeVerity is designed to avoid inventing safety-critical specifications. When the app says a value, fitment, procedure, product, or requirement must be verified, do not treat that item as resolved until you verify it from an authoritative source. Stop and use a qualified professional when the work exceeds your capability or verified information.
4. Product and external links
A product link is shown only when HomeVerity has a verified match under the current product-matching rules. External websites, retailers, manufacturers, video platforms, and other third parties control their own content, availability, pricing, privacy practices, and terms. HomeVerity does not control those third parties.
5. Local project data
The core HomeVerity experience stores project information in browser or device storage. You are responsible for keeping any backups you need. Clearing browser data, device loss, private browsing, storage eviction, or browser changes can remove locally stored information.
6. No guarantee of results
DIY projects involve conditions HomeVerity cannot inspect directly. To the extent permitted by applicable law, HomeVerity is provided without a guarantee that a project will be suitable, code-compliant, defect-free, safe for a specific situation, or produce a particular result.
7. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you assume responsibility for decisions and work performed using HomeVerity. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
8. Changes
HomeVerity may update the product and these terms as the service changes. The version posted on this page applies when you use the site.
