Your saved project library stays on your device.
HomeVerity is designed so you can search the built-in project catalog, open project guides, and save your progress without creating an account or sending your saved project records to a HomeVerity cloud project database.
What stays local
Saved guided projects, configurable builds, progress, attachments and local backup data are stored in browser/device storage used by the app. HomeVerity does not automatically upload your entire local project library, attachments, progress history or local backups to a HomeVerity project database.
What HomeVerity does not require
The current project-catalog and local project-saving experience does not require a HomeVerity account, cloud project database, cloud file storage or email verification. Catalog search is performed against project data already built into HomeVerity.
Important: local storage can be lost.
Clearing browser data, resetting a device, changing browsers, private browsing, storage eviction or losing the device can remove locally saved information. Download project PDFs and any available local backups you want to keep.
Website requests, conversion analytics and quick feedback
HomeVerity is delivered through Vercel hosting and uses Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and a limited set of product-interaction events. Those events can include the type of project workspace opened, project-step interactions, a helpful/needs-work feedback rating and category, and the hostname of a verified shopping destination that was clicked. HomeVerity does not send the project description or catalog search text itself as an analytics event property.
The in-project feedback prompt intentionally has no free-text field. It records only the selected rating and, when you choose “Needs work,” the category you select. This traffic and product measurement is separate from your locally saved DIY project records; HomeVerity does not send your saved projects, progress, attachments or local backups to analytics as user-linked project data.
External links and structured sources
Project pages may link to third-party services such as government data sources, manufacturer pages, video platforms or verified product pages. When you open an external service, that third party's privacy practices apply. HomeVerity does not control those services.
